WWE Smackdown Backstage News from Triple H’s Talent Meeting
In a meeting with the talent before Friday’s SmackDown, Triple H reportedly announced that, despite Vince McMahon’s return to the organization as chairman of the board of directors, he would continue to serve as head of creative for WWE.
Although WWE SmackDown is rapidly approaching, given all the recent news, it’s natural that most WWE fans aren’t thinking about it right now. Along with Vince McMahon’s return to the organization, Stephanie McMahon’s resignation, and surgery, there were numerous questions raised by the shakeup, one of which concerned Triple H’s continued leadership of WWE Creative. In a report published by Fightful Select, Triple H discusses his continued role, McMahon’s return, and other topics in detail during a talent meeting he conducted before tonight’s show.
Triple H Tried to bring an end to the Rumors
According to Fightful Select, Triple H also made an effort to dispel the rumor that the WWE was being sold, while also pointing out that even if it had been, it would take much longer for anything to become official or announced.
It has been stated again by Triple H that none of this will have an impact on the current WWE creative staff or process. This is said to have allayed many of the worries that talent has had over the past week or so. Although he left the door open and acknowledged that anything was possible, Vince currently defers to Triple H for the final creative decision. He said that although he and Vince might consult, Triple H ultimately has the last say.
