According to reports, it is expected that WWE is planning to set up a storyline feud between John Cena and Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam 2023. Also, The Viper and Legend Killer ‘Randy Orton‘ is on his way to make a return and the officials are planning to set him up as the next champion.

Also, WWE Creative’s Head Triple H is planning to split the titles after WrestleMania 39. Cody Rhodes also said in an interview, he has been approached for the same and he agrees to the split of titles as it will give more opportunity to young talents.

5 Surprise Returns and Debuts That Could Happen in 2023

1. CM Punk

Phillip Jack Brooks (aka, CM Punk) is currently performing in WWE’s rival company in Wrestling Sports Entertainment (i.e, AEW) but he is recently hinted at his return to the WWE. CM Punk left WWE in 2014 when his controversy with Mr. McMahon. Later Vince also apologized to him for the sudden termination and called it a result of miscommunication.

Fans are expecting Punk to make a return to WWE.

2. Bron Breakker

Bronson Rechsteiner (aka, Bron Breakker) is the current NXT Champion. He is expecting to make his main roster debut on Raw/Smackdown post-WrestleMania 39. There are times when former nxt champions also made their debut on the main roster and now they are the top active superstars. Examples are Kevin Owens, Charlotte Flair, and Finn Balor.

3. Sasha Banks

Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado (aka, Sasha Banks) recently clarified that she is no longer a part of WWE. But, WWE Officials have tried to contact her and let an open invitation for her when Triple H said in an interview that she (Former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks) can join back if she agrees to the terms.

4. The Rock

Dwayne Johnson (aka, The Rock) is a 10x Former WWE WCW Champion. It is being reported that he can return to set up a feud with his bloodline brother Roman Reigns (Current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion) and let him help turn face again.

5. Randy Orton

Randal Keith Orton (aka, Randy Orton) was last seen on WWE Tv when he was a part of Tag-Team ‘RK Bro’ with Riddle. He suffered an injury last year for which he took a break from WWE but now he has recovered and is ready to make his return back to WWE. Recently, WWE posted a video in which he was seen backstage and it is expected that he will return at WrestleMania interfering in the main-event match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
