With Whom Fred Vanvleet Got Engaged?
Fred VanVleet, the basketball star for the Toronto Raptors, recently got engaged to Shontai Neal, his longtime girlfriend whom he’s known since high school. The couple has been together for over 10 years and has two children together: a daughter named Sanaa Marie VanVleet who is five years old, and a son named Fred VanVleet Jr. who is younger than his sister.
While VanVleet has had a successful career in basketball, Neal worked as a waitress at Olive Garden during her college days and later became a front-desk receptionist at The Inn in Tallgrass.
Both VanVleet and Neal attended Wichita State University, though VanVleet has received more attention in the media for his sports career. We don’t know what Neal’s current job is, as her Instagram account is private, but we do know that the couple got engaged in 2022.
Fred VanVleet recently made headlines after he went on a passionate rant against NBA official Ben Taylor
Fred VanVleet has been in the news lately for his outspoken criticism of NBA referee Ben Taylor. After a game between the Toronto Raptors and LA Clippers, VanVleet expressed his frustration with Taylor’s officiating, claiming that a technical foul he received changed the game’s flow.
VanVleet acknowledged that most referees try hard and are fair, but he criticized those who “just want to be d**ks and just kind of f**k up the game.” As a result of his comments, VanVleet was fined $30,000, and he has received a total of eight technical fouls this season, three of which were from Taylor.
The Raptors’ guard had been increasingly frustrated with the team’s performance, particularly in regard to the number of free-throw attempts they received compared to their opponents.
Fred VanVleet’s recent comments about NBA referee Ben Taylor have generated a lot of attention and support from fans and analysts who feel that officiating has been unfair this season. While many have expressed frustration with the officiating, VanVleet is one of the few who has spoken out publicly and directly called out the referees. This has made him quite popular among NBA fans and analysts, who appreciate his candor and willingness to speak his mind.
