Wild Video of D’Angelo Russell Fully Ignoring LeBron James, Pays The Price
D’Angelo Russell’s performance in last year’s Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets made everyone wonder whether he deserved the contract the Los Angeles Lakers gave him in the summer.
In the first game of the new season, Russell had a chance to prove his critics wrong. Unfortunately, he didn’t seize the opportunity. Once again, in the Tuesday night game against Denver, he had a lackluster performance, scoring only 11 points on 12 shots and making three turnovers.
What made it worse was Russell’s consistent issue with making poor decisions. There was a specific incident that highlighted this problem.
During the game, LeBron James clearly explained how they could exploit the Nuggets’ defense. But Russell completely ignored LeBron’s advice.

James had already made it clear that Russell isn’t his preferred point guard. There is a reason he pushed so hard for the Lakers to pursue someone else during the offseason.
Russell is the player LeBron James has to work with, no matter what. The Lakers’ hopes for winning championships depend a lot on how Russell performs this year.
Ever since he joined the league, Russell has shown he has the talent to do well. That’s never been doubted. But using his skills effectively and becoming a reliable and all-around player has been his challenge.
The big question is, will this year, 2023, be the time when Russell steps up and becomes the player the Lakers really need him to be? What do you think?
