At just 25 years old, Maycee Barber is one of the younger fighters in the flyweight division. Despite her young age, she already has a lot of experience. she also participated in 12 UFC fights. She made her debut in 2018 and started her UFC career with a win against Hannah Cifers.

Barber’s consecutive wins will definitely help her climb up the rankings in her division, as she aims to eventually compete against the current champion. The UFC women’s flyweight title is currently held by Alexa Grasso. Grasso surprised everyone earlier this year by defeating Valentina Shevchenko and claiming the title. In the past, Grasso faced Barber in 2021 and won the fight through a tough decision.

Barber trains with Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, a gym known for producing multiple UFC champions such as T.J. Dillashaw, Cody Garbrandt, and Deiveson Figueiredo. The gym is led by Uriah Faber, who is a former WEC champion and UFC Hall of Famer, who serves as a coach and mentor to Barber.

As she continues her journey in the flyweight division, Barber is determined to secure a rematch against Grasso. Currently, only three fighters have held the women’s flyweight title, and Barber hopes to join that list in the near future. She is focused on her training and making her mark in the division.
