Wild Card Entry Venus Williams Returning for Grand Slam Tournament This Year
7-time champion Grand Slam winner Venus Williams is coming back. Venus is a wild card entry featuring in Grand Slam Tournament 2023.
One of the Williams sisters, Venus is all set to represent her 24th appearance in Grand Slam Tournament.
Former world no. 1 Champion is 5 times champion in Wimbledon and 2 times in the US Open championship.
43 years old Williams plays for the Wimbledon singles draw in this tournament. On Monday Williams beats Camila Giorgi in the Birmingham Classic. And now all set for her next rival Jelena Ostapenko who’s in 17th position in the world’s women’s players.
Until now the Elder Williams sister won 21 major titles, 14 of which are doubles titles with her younger sister, Serena Williams. And there are more to come.
However, Serena wouldn’t be able to participate in Grand Slam as she announced her retirement from tennis this year.
Wimbledon is going to start on 3rd July and the final will be played on 16th July in London.
