Why was Steve Austin Hit by a Car on WWE Television?

Stone Cold (Steve Austin) was one of the greatest superstars in the WWE. He is still considered the most ferocious superstar. You’re probably wondering why Austin always made his triumphant entrance with a hammer and bursting beer cans. He did the same to beware of his opponents and enjoy his victory; this can be used to conclude how dangerous the wrestlers were in Austin at the time. Once he was hit by a car with a plan, it was quite exhausting to see such a dangerous wrestler in this situation. Let us find out who planned the car accident for him.

Austin’s career was growing at a good pace because of his performances, and it got a boost when he won WrestleMania 13 against Hart. He was climbing the success ladder and eventually became WWE’s babyface. But his babyface was replaced after two years as he took a break from wrestling due to his neck injury.

After a year, when Austin returned, he fought and worked hard again to achieve success. Many wrestlers of the time never even attempted to compete against Austin. But he was the target of many wrestlers who were planning something more detrimental for him. Afterward, Steve was in the match in the survivor series, and his injury pain returned, making him lose the match.

Who Planned the Car Accident?

Though Austin quit wrestling, he was the target of many wrestlers, which resulted in a car accident planned for him.

Steve Austin was injured by a car in a kayfabe angle at the event while pursuing Triple H, who was initially scheduled to fight Triple H and The Rock in a Triple Threat match for the Championship. Nearly a year later, Rikishi acknowledged that he was driving when Austin was struck by a car and claimed that he did it to win The Rock over since this was a method to wipe Steve Austin off the television.

Rikishi, though, wasn’t acting alone when he hit Steve Austin and fled the scene. After Austin reappeared from his year-long absence, Triple H confessed that he was the one who planned for Rikishi to run him over in order to eliminate Austin from competition for the WWE Championship and put a stop to his career.
