Why Raiders Didn’t Sign Colin Kaepernick Last Year
Recently former Quarterback Colin Kaepernick informed that he wants to be back in NFL and all the fans showered him with all the love and support. Colin hasn’t signed any NFL contract since 2016. Click here to know Why?
Interview With SI’s Gilberto Manzano, Kaepernick also revealed he also had a workout with Las Vegas Raiders last year and he thought the NFL contract will be his this time.
But unfortunately, the deal between Colin and the Raiders didn’t end well. Colin has some ideas about why he goes unsigned.
“something else within this decision” due to the Raiders’ quarterback situation at the time. Colin pointed out that Jarrett Stidham and Nick Mullens were the Raiders’ backups and hinted that his skills and experience should have made him a better option than either of them.
Kaepernick said, “With the Raiders’ situation last year, that was (Jarrett) Stidham and Nick Mullens, which to me, you just compare résumés and capabilities, on top of the workout and the feedback, it’s like, ‘O.K., cool.’ Obviously, there’s something else within this decision,”
Until now there is not one NFL franchise that’s willing to sign Colin for their next QB. As the reason is obvious no one’s gonna sign a player who’s out of the league for this longer time.
On the other hand, Kaepernick is not smart enough that point out the finger at the franchise, and the executive manager will not gonna help to sign the NFL contract.
