Who Is Paula Badosa, Wimbledon Tennis Player Has Awkward Moment With Reporter
Spanish Tennis Player Paula Badosa has an awkward moment with a reporter this Friday.
After Victoria Azarenka, another tennis player got in a bit of a situation with a reporter at Wimbledon.
Unfortunately, Paula’s time is up from the Wimbledon race this year due to her injury in a match against Marta Kostyuk. After she lost the match in a press conference a reporter congratulated her on victory. Immediately Paula did correct him and said she lost the match.
Even though Paula denied her win the reporter kept asking her about her confidence level and fitness. Which made her uneasy and she replied, “For your information, I just lost. I didn’t win.”
It was quite awkward for both player and the reporter. Especially for Paula Badosa who lost her chance for this Wimbledon.
25-year-old Paula Badosa is from Spain and has been ranked world no. 2 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association. She is been struggling with the spinal stress fracture for the past few months. Due to her injury, she missed French Open earlier this year.
Prior to her injury, she has quite the accolades including Sydney Tennis Classic in 2022, and reached the fourth round of the U.S. Open and Wimbledon. She has over a million followers on her Instagram promoting brands.
Speaking of her love life, outside the court, Badosa is dating Stefanos Tsitsipas another tennis player ranked world no. 5 in Men’s Tennis. Both Paula and Stefanos went official this year.
Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas were about to compete in mixed double at Wimbledon but they dropped out due to her injury.
We hope she will recover soon from her injury.
