As per a reliable German Source, Sports Bild, Real Madrid is expected to not continue with Carlos Ancelotti as the first team coach come summer.
The Italian manager was able to deliver La Liga and the Champions League in his first season. However, since then Madrid has not been the same with nine points behind league leaders Barcelona. In addition, the club is not happy with the style of play Ancelotti brings along and his inability to utilize the players and their qualities.
It is believed that Carlo Ancelotti might be given the sack after this season amid rumors of Brazil wanting him in the head coach role.
Who could be the new Real Madrid manager?
The club has reportedly shortlisted four managers who could be next in line as the Real Madrid manager.
1. Thomas Tuchel
Tuchel has made a name for himself in Europe during the last 5 years having managed clubs like Dortmund, PSG, and Chelsea. He won the 2021 Champions League with the Blues.
2. Mauricio Pochettino
The former Tottenham and PSG manager might not have enough silverware to show. However, he was able to reach the Champions League final with Spurs.
3. Xabi Alonso
Former Real Madrid midfielder, Alonso has been doing a great job managing Bayer Leverkusen and might be a great fit for the Los Blancos.
4. Raul
A true Madridista and a living legend of the club. Raul is currently managing the club’s academy, where he himself graduated from. The Spaniard might follow in the footsteps of Zinedine Zidane who got promoted to the role of the first team coach.
