The loss to Barcelona has hurt many Madrid hearts, especially it is the third straight loss against the Catalans. This loss outs Madrid 12 points behind Barcelona in the title race, slimming their chances or winning the league even thinner.
This loss has forced the club to re-evaluate which players are no longer a fit for the club while some are just good enough to play for the badge in the first place. According to numerous fans on social media, Ferland Mendy is one such player who should be shown the door.
The Frenchman was brought on for Nacho and was practically invisible on the pitch. He was useless going forward and didn’t seem to cause any trouble to the Barcelona forwards trying to attack.
