Voice Of Alabama Football Eli Gold Return To Announce Plans For Crimson Tide

The voice of Alabama football, Eli Gold returned to announce the plans for the Crimson Tide 2023 season.

This offseason Alabama’s alma mater lost 45 total players. 15 players graduated, 12 declared for the NFL Draft while the other 18 entered the transfer portal. Alabama’s 2023 season will also be the final season for the west division as Texas and Oklahoma will join the SEC in 2024.

There will be so many prominent players to miss but not Legendary Alabama’s favorite broadcaster Eli Gold. Gold is back to reclaim his throne from Chris Stewart.

69-year-old Eli Gold has been part of the Crimson Tide Football team since 1988 and was replaced in the 2022 season due to cancer. In an interview with Nick Kelly of Tuscaloosa News, Gold announced that he is healthy enough to join the 2023 season.

Gold said, “I’m now healthy, ready to go, and looking forward to the season.”

Eli Gold has also been named the Alabama Sportscaster of the Year by the Associated Press and the Alabama Sportscaster of the Year by the United Press International (UPI).

Alabama lost many key players and also recruited some locals as well including Anderson Green in the 2023 season. With so many changes Crimson Tide has quite a lot this year on their plate. There’s been pressure on head coach Nick Saban to excel their game tactics and perform better than the past two seasons.

At least the familiar voice of Gold will be there to cheer them up. Veteran Eli Gold has been part of the pack for a very long time.
