Virat Kohli’s early life and Education:

Virat Kohli was born and brought up in Delhi, India. He was born in a Hindu-Punjabi family. His father Prem Kohli was a criminal lawyer and his mother Saroj Kohli is a housewife. He has a brother Vikash Kohli and a sister Bhawana Kohli. He has done his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School in Uttam Nagar.

His father was the one who took him to Raj Kumar Sharma’s West-Delhi Cricket Academy when he was just 9 and a half years. He was always fond of cricket that he never thought of any backup plan. In 2003 he was awarded by Ashish Nehra as the highest run-scorer (172 runs with an average of 34.40) for Delhi in 2002-03 Polly Umrigar Trophy.

In 2006, Virat Kohli lost his father due to a stroke, but the very next day he was seen standing in the middle of the field against Karnataka scoring a total of 90 runs for Delhi. 

He played a First-Class debut match against Tamil Nadu back in 2006. He was picked up by Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) from the very start of the tournament. Again he has been retained in February 2022 IPL Auction by Royal Challengers Banglore for IPL 2022 for INR 15 Crores.
