The 2023 NBA Draft’s likely No.1 overall pick, Victor Wembanyama is happy after being called ‘alien’ by LeBron James.

According to the Draft Express, the 19-year-old is 7-foot-4, he had an 8-foot wingspan. He has displayed his ball-handling skills remarkably and is thin and lean. Wembanyama also had the ability to shoot from the outside.

Wembanyama on being called an alien

In October, LeBron James made a remark on Wembanyama’s skills and called him a “generational talent”.

James said in a press conference,

” We’re labeling him like this unicorn thing. Everybody has been a unicorn over the last few years but he’s more like an alien. I’ve never seen — no one has ever seen — anyone as tall as he is, but as fluid and as graceful as he is on the floor.”

Later, Wembanyama also admitted that he liked being called an alien. And Victor said,

“I’m really glad he said that because I didn’t like to be called a unicorn. I like being called an alien, it’s just something not from this world. It’s really what I’m working to be — something unique and original.”

Currently, Wembanyama is averaging 22.2 points, 3.1 blocks, and 9.5 rebounds in the LNB Pro A league this season. He has amazing skills and talent which could enhance whichever teams he joins.
