VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023: Day 2 results and highlights
The Valorant VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023 kicked off with a bang on 13 February, Day 2 of the event where the Alpha group teams clashed with each other for forwarding for the next round. On the second day of the tournament, matches were played between FunPlus Phoenix vs Karmine Corp, BBL Esports vs DRX, and Cloud9 vs Paper Rex.
32 teams going to compete in a single elimination bracket format, and all matches are going to be the best of three except the Semifinals and Grand Finals which is Bo5.
In round 1 from 32 teams 16 teams head towards round 2 and from there 8 teams will head towards the quarterfinals, from which 4 teams will play semifinals and then 2 finalists compete in the grand final to be crowned as the champions. Whoever is the winner of their team will win also an extra slot for their region.

FunPlus Phoenix vs Karmine Corp (Alpha)
In the first match of the 2nd day of the tournament, Both teams gave tough competition to each other, but Karmine Corp in the decider map seal their victory by a 2-1 scoreline in a best-of-three series. With this FunPlus Phoenix is now out of the tournament.

BBL Esports vs DRX (Alpha)
It’s the first victory made by any Pacific team in the event, with close match-ups DRX was able to finish the best of three series by a 2-1 score against BBL esports. The victory made them qualify for round 2.

Cloud9 vs Paper Rex (Alpha)
The match between both teams is the highlight of day 2, in which with dominant performance made by Cloud9 show Paper Rex door of exit in the tournament by a 2-0 score. The big upset was seen in the Pearl map where they lost with a massive lead.
