Updates Emerge From Kareem Hunt, Browns One Year Deal Amid Nick Chubb Injury
Former NFL running back Kareem Hunt was offered a one-year deal by the Cleveland Browns amid Nick Chubb’s injury.
Prior to the Monday Night Football game, Cleveland lost their running back Nick Chubb for the whole season. Chubb suffered a severe knee injury during the Brown vs Steelers Monday game.
Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. are the only two other options in Backfield. That led the Browns to sign a new RB as they ran out of one.
Finally, Former Pro Bowl Kareem Hunt has landed on the NFL deal. The Browns are offering Kareem to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, according to the ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.
An official reunion: Former Browns’ RB Kareem Hunt is re-signing a one-year deal with Cleveland worth up to $4 million, per source. Hunt now will try to help fill the void with Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski talked to the media about replacing Chubb.
Stefanski said,
“You don’t replace Nick Chubb. You just don’t do that. Great players in the league, you look around, they go out. It’s always not one person that replaces a player of [Chubb’s] caliber. So, everybody’s got to do a little bit more, a little bit more everywhere.”
Kareem first drafted by Kansas City Chiefs and then joined the forces with Cleveland Browns in 2019. He once again joined the Browns for the 2023 NFL season.
Last season, Hunt had 468 rushing yards, 210 receiving yards and four total touchdowns for the Browns.
Before Hunt has penned down the deal, Ford will be the No. 1 running back this weekend for the Browns vs Titans. He had over 100 rushing yards against the Steelers in Week 2.
