Update on AJ Dillon’s injury: Packers RB for SNF Week 13 Fantasy Football
The Green Bay Packers backfield this season has been surprising due to AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones. With Jones’ injuries and now Dillon’s issues, determining who will play in the next game has become a weekly concern.
AJ Dillon Injury Update
The Packers running back has a groin ailment that has already limited his participation in the team’s practice this week. Dillon did not practice with Aaron Jones and Jayden Reed on Wednesday. While Jones’ availability has fluctuated this season, Reed, despite a dubious weekly categorization, has been consistently accessible.
Based on this opinion, one could flip a coin. Dillon did not miss a single practice last week due to the injury, according to the Green Bay Packers injury report. He did practice in a restricted capacity all week, but he was on the field.
His absence from practice on Wednesday is concerning, and it casts even more questions on his availability than it did last week.
What happened to AJ Dillon?
At the start of Week 12, AJ Dillon was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. He logged 14 carries for 43 yards and an average of 3.1 yards per run despite missing part of practice all week in preparation for the team’s Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions.
Due to a groin ailment, the running back missed his first session. He had nearly a full week to heal after the squad played last Thursday, but instead began the week behind where he left off the previous week.
He may be able to play this week, and the Wednesday sit out was only a precautionary measure to give him a full week to heal.
When will AJ Dillon be back?
At this time, anything other than “questionable” would be either too optimistic or overly pessimistic. To put it simply, it’s too early to know. The circumstances, however, warrant his appearance on Sunday. To begin with, it’s a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, who will necessitate every hand on deck in order to win.
Second, with the Packers (5-6) fighting for a postseason place, they can’t afford to take a chance by resting a player. Third, because the game is on Sunday Night Football, Dillon has an additional opportunity to capture the attention of every football fan in the country. Such a chance would be impossible to pass up.
