UConn Guard Paige Bueckers Signs Multiyear NIL Deal With Nike
UConn Women’s College Basketball Guard Paige Bueckers signed a multiyear NIL deal with Nike.
On Wednesday, the sportswear juggernaut announced that UConn star Paige Bueckers, 21, has signed a contract with Nike. This is going to be a milestone in a young basketball player’s career.
On this amazing achievement, Paige Bueckers expressed her excitement and said, ‘This is a dream come true.’
Via ESPN, Bueckers said in a statement, “I am blessed and honored to announce my partnership with Nike. Joining the Nike family is a childhood dream come true. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together on and off the court.”
The contract between Nike and Bueckers is a multi-year contract that will open multiple opportunities even after a College Basketball player turns into a pro.
This year is going great for Women’s Basketball whether it’s WNBA or NCAA. Earlier this year the NCAA star Cameron Brink stole the show at seattle and overshadowed some of the basketball legends including Jamal Crawford and Isaiah Thomas. Following her godbrother Stephen Curry’s footsteps, Cameron Brink marked her performance in the first half of a basketball game at the Climate Pledge Arena.
Minnesota native Paige has been struggling with multiple severe injuries with a torn ACL. Due to her injury, she missed an entire season. But now she surpassed all the hard times and landed on such an amazing deal with Nike.
Paige Bueckers is ready for her third season with Uconn entering the upcoming NCAA Basketball season.
