Tyreek Hill warned by NFL fans after Dolphins WR’s viral TD celebration vs Eagles
Tyreek Hill ended with 11 receptions for 88 yards to help the Miami Dolphins defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. Considering that he scored a touchdown and gained 163 yards against the Carolina Panthers the previous week, they are poor results. He had 181 yards and a score against the New York Giants before that.
Hill was on track to gain 2,306 yards through six games, becoming the first wideout in league history to surpass 2,000 yards. Those projections will drop if he wins against Philadelphia. But the crowd was most interested in his touchdown celebration.
Is Tyreek Hill going to pay a fine for celebrating his score on Sunday Night Football?
With less than a minute remaining in the first half, the Miami Dolphins found themselves facing third-and-eight on the Philadelphia Eagles’ 27-yard line. Tyreek Hill practiced a stutter step before running off to improve his man coverage technique against James Bradberry.
Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback, noticed that the All-Pro cornerback had fallen behind. As Terrell Edmunds and Bradberry pursued, he tossed the ball to Hill. However, the All-Pro wide receiver received the ball untouched in the end zone for a score, outpacing them with his speed.
However, Hill’s touchdown celebration following the score prompted one football fan to remark:
“That will be a fine of $50,000.”

The footage shows that Hill had assistance from wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. and offensive guard Robert Hunt of the Dolphins. More significantly, with that score at halftime, they were within striking distance of the Eagles, 17-10.
That celebration, meanwhile, would have been more fitting had Mike McDaniel’s team won the Sunday Night Football game. However, following a Jerome Baker pick-six to tie the score at 17, Philadelphia scored 14 straight points to resume their winning ways.
Before the season began, Tyreek Hill vowed that he would achieve 2,000 receiving yards in 2023
Hill is on track to amass 2,190 receiving yards this season despite falling 12 yards shy of the century mark in Week 7. Based on his 128.8-yard per-game average following their defeat against the Eagles, that figure was calculated.
If he continues at this pace, he will live up to the promise made in his It Needed to be said podcast during the winter. In a July 2023 show, he revealed:
“Next year, bro, I’m going to break 2,000 yards.” Before I leave this league, I wanted to earn 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl, and we did just that. Accept that.
The Dolphins’ hopes of winning the Super Bowl are contingent upon their victories over deserving opponents. Their five wins thus far were against clubs that were in the losing column following Week 7. However, Tyreek Hill still has a chance to become the first player in NFL history to record 2,000 receiving yards in a season.
