Travis Kelce showers Taylor Swift with love, recounts first date with pop star
Travis Kelce’s friendship with Taylor Swift has been an unexpected highlight of the 2023 NFL season. After a botched first date, the pair ended up bonding as the Kansas City Chiefs player launched his campaign.
Fans are still anxious to learn everything they can about the new power couple in town, who are currently in the limelight.
During a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the tight end refused to provide every detail. Kelce instead described himself as ‘fortunate’ to have met the pop artist.
“There were individuals she knew who knew who I was in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was on his way?’ Someone was playing Cupid for me. She explained everything to me and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”
Furthermore, Travis Kelce stated that Swift continues to inspire him and that he learns more from her every day:
“I’ve never been a wordsmith. Being around her and witnessing how intelligent Taylor is has been f—ing mind-boggling. Every day, I discover something new.”
Kelce explained her ‘aura’ further:
“Obviously, I’ve never dated anybody that has that type of atmosphere…. I’ve never had to deal with that. But, at the same time, I’m not avoiding any of it.
“The amount of attention she receives, how much she is scrutinized every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she visits, and after every aeroplane she lands. She’s just living and having fun. When she acts strangely, I better not be acting strangely.”
