Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce Call Out NFL Over Taylor Swift Coverage
Even Travis Kelce believes that Taylor Swift’s renewed interest in the Chiefs and their star-tight end is being covered by the NFL a little too much.
Jason Kelce questioned his brother if the NFL was “overdoing it” by embracing the Swifties during this week’s episode of their New Heights podcast, putting aside any private matters.
Travis remarked, “I think it’s entertaining when they show who’s at the game.” “It adds a little bit more to the ambiance and what you’re witnessing. They are, however, slightly going overboard at the same time.
Jason was guiding his brother towards that response with his own thoughts regarding the NFL’s exaggeration of the circumstances surrounding Taylor and his purported celebrity girlfriend.
“I just think the NFL is not used to celebrities coming to the games,” Jason continued. “Like basketball has everything down. They are seated courtside, all of them. They briefly demonstrate for them before returning to the game.
However, there are phenomenons, and then there are celebrities. The NFL is now seeing a whole new level of interest thanks to Taylor Swift and her devoted fan base. The league is learning how to manage that, as Jason points out. It’s only possible for players and journalists to notice Swift mentions on the NFL’s official social media profiles.
Many football fans who don’t care much for pop culture are displeased, especially when the Taylor Swift craze interferes with the game. Is this, nevertheless, going to alter any time soon? Most likely not.
