Training Camp Boycott Threat From a Cowboys Star
The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with a troubling issue recently. An offensive lineman and Cowboys star, Zack Martin is threatening the team to skip the training camp.
Martin, who is a six-time All-Pro offensive lineman has some issues regarding his contract with the team and when the higher-ups refused to listen to him, he began to show his resistance and is now considering” holding out from the team’s training camp accordion to the reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Cowboys’ six-time All-Pro guard and team captain Zack Martin is considering not reporting to training camp due to his unhappiness with his contract and the team’s lack of interest in restructuring it,” Schefter said on Twitter.
“Martin believes he is ‘woefully underpaid relative to the market.’ Martin is scheduled to make about $7 million less this season than the NFL’s top-paid guards.”
Some of his fans agrees with him while some are criticizing him.
Martin is considered one of the best offensive lineman ever and has earned his sixth First-Team All-Pro designation. He is also the ninth highest-paid player at the position – $6.5 million shy of the top-paid player.
