Tiger Woods Is Looking Forward To New Job Offered By PGA Tour
Pro Golfer Tiger Woods has landed on new job offered by the PGA Tour on the board committee as a sixth member. And oh boy! Tiger Woods is very much looking forward to this job.
15-time champion of the Major championships Tiger Woods soon join the PGA Tour Board as part of a new “transparency and governance measures” agreement.
Woods, 47, will play the role of sixth player director of the PGA Tour policy Board. Other players on the board include Patrick Cantlay, Charley Hoffman, Peter Malnati, Rory McIlroy, and Webb Simpson.
Via Golfchannel, Many players have voiced similar concerns about a lack of player input into the deal- a group of 41 players including some of the top players like No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, McIlroy, and Jon Rahm. The board is currently searching for a replacement for Randall Stephenson who resigned last month, and they got the sixth independent player director
Tiger Woods’s reaction to the new job offered by Jay came out pretty welcoming. He also posted the news on his Instagram story.
Woods also released an official statement to thank the PGA Tour Commissioner for the opportunity and said he will look forward to making the right decision in the future.
The statement reads, “I am honored to represent the players of the PGA TOUR. This is a critical point for the TOUR, and the players will do their best to make certain that any changes that are made in TOUR operations are in the best interest of all TOUR stakeholders, including fans, sponsors, and players.”
Woods also thanked Monahan from all the players, “The players thank Commissioner Monahan for agreeing to address our concerns, and we look forward to being at the table with him to make the right decisions for the future of the game that we all love.”
Due to injury, Tiger Woods might not be seen on the golf course but will be part of the game as a Board member.
Looks like Jay Monahan knows how to keep happy everyone, especially the prominent golfer on the PGA tour.
