Three times during the Lakers-Knicks game, LeBron James makes NBA history
At Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks were playing.
LeBron James entered the top four on the list of all-time assists throughout the contest and created NBA history twice.
He ended with 11 assists, 10 rebounds, and 28 points (he now has 10,338 assists).
In order to pass Mark Jackson for fifth place, James needed eight assists going into the night (and nine assists to pass Steve Nash for fourth).
He not only overtook Jackson and Nash, but he also made history by being the first player to ever register a triple-double in their 20th season.
LeBron James is the only player in NBA history to record a triple-double in their 20th season or later, according to NBA History.
First player in 20th season or later to record a triple-double ? 4th-most assists in NBA history ? Big win for the Lakers at MSG
