Thibaut Courtois addresses Liverpool supporters over their response to the Real Madrid duo
Thibaut Courtois is a goalkeeper for the La Liga team Real Madrid and the Belgium national team. He is a professional football player from Belgium. In response to the reaction Liverpool supporters provided to Karim Benzema and Luka Modric, Courtois had conveyed a message to them. In their first-leg Champions League matchup in the round of 16, the Spanish powerhouses crushed Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield, handing the Reds their most infamous defeat in club history. and Courtois discussed the post-game treatment Benzema and Modric received from the home crowd.

Thibaut Courtois spoke about it “It’s my first time playing Champions League football at Anfield when fans are in the stadium. The fact that there was applause from Liverpool supporters for Luka and Karim just proves that people here know how to appreciate guys who are great players. That second Liverpool goal was slightly bad luck that I messed it up,”
He added “I had the ball under control and I wanted to pass it immediately but I saw that Mohamed Salah had stopped so I changed my mind and tried to move it onto my right foot but it bounced off my knee.” he continued “We’re never beaten, we always react. Those two quick goals did help us to do that. We were calm, mentally, and when we are on the rise we play well.”
