The Struggle Is Real As Jordan Poole Is No More With The Warriors Due To His Form

The Golden State Warriors have been having a bit of a rough time lately. They lost three games in a row while playing on the road, but they were finally able to get a win over the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime last Saturday.

Unfortunately, there’s one player on the team who’s really been struggling, and a lot of Warrior fans are talking about it. His name is Jordan Poole, and he just hasn’t been playing as well as he usually does. In the last four games, he’s only been able to score an average of 14 points per game, and his shooting percentages have been pretty low – only 34.8% from the field and 29.6% from the three-point range. On top of that, his defense has been a real problem for the Warriors, and they’re having a tough time trying to make up for his mistakes. To add to the trouble, his average plus-minus during this rough patch has been -10.8.

Even in the win against the Bucks at Chase Center, Jordan Poole was still struggling. He scored only 13 points on 4-for-13 shooting that night, which is better than some of his previous games, but still not great. It seems like he’s in a bit of a slump, which may be related to Stephen Curry’s return and Poole being moved back to the bench.

When he comes off the bench, Poole seems to be rushing his shots because he knows that Curry will be back in the game soon and his opportunities will be limited. This is likely a subconscious mental factor for the young guard. Unfortunately, his defensive struggles and recent inefficiency on offense mean that he’s no longer part of the Warriors’ closing five, even with Andrew Wiggins out of the lineup. Donte DiVincenzo has become a more trustworthy option due to his perimeter shooting and ability to defend well at the point of attack.

The Warriors really need Poole to step up his game. They lost three games in a row before narrowly avoiding a fourth straight loss against a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks team. If Poole can provide 25 great minutes off the bench and play up to his potential, the Warriors still have a chance to be the team they wanted to be at the beginning of the season.
