Rossi, 44, shared the Le Mans race 2 championship trophy with his partner Jerome Policand. Rossi’s partner Jerome thought it was a joke when he was offered to ride with the legend himself.
He didn’t believe Vincent Vosse, boss of WRT at first that he was about to have a Partner Valentino Rossi. “Vincent called me and said, ‘Do you want to drive in the Road to Le Mans race,” said Policand,
“Then he said he wanted me to drive with Valentino. I thought it was a joke, but when he told me that he was serious, what was I going to say?”
I’m 58 and I’m getting the chance to drive with Valentino on a circuit I love, so I was always going to say yes.”
Valentino took part in the Le Mans support race to compete in the 24 hours of the Le Mans race.
