The Baltimore Ravens parted ways with OC Greg Roman
The Baltimore Ravens are back in discussion after Lamar’s injury in Week 13 against the Broncos. This time they announced parting ways with the offensive coordinator, Greg Roman.
Roman, in his statement, said:
“After visiting with Coach (John) Harbaugh and after huddling with my family, I have decided that now is the right time to move on from the Ravens so that I can explore new challenges and opportunities… I’ll truly miss Baltimore, but at the same time I am excited to attack my next opportunity with focus and passion.”
The 50-year-old Greg Roman schemed Jackson to win the MVP award. Under him, the Ravens set a record for rushing yards too. He has been the Ravens’ offensive coordinator since 2019. Romans was an assistant for Baltimore during his first two seasons. He has also been an offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
Roman also endured the fans’ frustration during Baltimore’s 13-3 loss against the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 17. Apart from this, he had a good time and a successful career with the Ravens.
John Harbaugh bids Roman adieu
Now, with Roman out, coach John Harbaugh will start his quest for the seventh offensive coordinator.
He stated parting ways with the OC Roman:
“Greg has led the development and success of a record-setting offense in Baltimore for several seasons. He is a tremendous football coach, as well as family man and person. Greg devised and led our offense to no fewer than 26 historical NFL and franchise achievements. He established an identity for our offense.”
“We are grateful for Greg’s great work and abilities, and we wish him and his wonderful family the utmost happiness going forward.”
