The Awesome World Cup Goal from Irish Soccer Star, Katie McCabe

In the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, today Ireland faced off against Canada. Even though Ireland lost the match, one of its players won the hearts and achieved a great feat. Irish Soccer Star, Katie McCabe scored a super rare goal for the team which was the second such goal in World Cup history. Some goals are easy but some of them are super tough and this was certainly one of them.   

This was a super rare goal that was kicked directly from the corner to the goalpost without the ball touching another player. In today’s match against Canada, Katie kicked the ball from the corner which was so awesome and fast that Canada goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan wasn’t even able to touch the ball making. 

This goal is considered even harder than the  “olimpico” and was the first-ever World Cup goal for the Republic of Ireland and the second one in FIFA Women’s World Cup history. Just after successfully made the goal, all the fans were stunned for a moment and then before going crazy. 

“The goal was absolutely legendary,” one user replied.

“Katie McCabe with a madness. Olimpico. First-ever goal for Ireland at the World Cup. Against the defending Olympic Champions. Earliest goal in the tournament. GOOD MORNING,” wrote another.

“You liked Messi’s goal? What til you see Katie McCabe’s!!” a third wrote.

Ireland lost to Canada with a score of 1-2.
