“That has been the major difference”- Ederson Moraes mentions two things that the Arsenal star is better at
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes has come up with two facets that show that the Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus is better than Erling Haaland.
He claimed that Jesus being a versatile and stronger player, is better than the Norwegian.
Jesus vs Haaland
This summer, Jesus was moved from Etihad to the Emirates and he has adapted well in north London. He has played well during his 20 games across competitions for Mikel Arteta’s club, by scoring five goals and seven assists. Unfortunately, he is out with knee surgery. He was injured in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
On the other side, Haaland scored 32 goals since he was moved from Borussia Dortmund to the Cityzens. This season he played incredibly well as he scored 26 league goals in 23 games.
Though Haaland’s goalscoring skill is unmatchable, the Manchester City goalkeeper pointed out two aspects that Gabriel Jesus is good at. Ederson told UEFA-
“When [Haaland] arrived, we said he was going to score a lot – and that’s been happening. He is a brilliant goalscorer, he always looks to score and help the team. He is the striker we needed because, in comparison to Gabriel (Jesus), they are different players: Gabi likes to come in from out wide, he is stronger and more versatile; Haaland plays more centrally, looking to get into the box, he is a target in the area.“

He continued-
“That has been the major difference. When you get into the final third you have someone who will always be in the area.”
