Texas Longhorns Head Coach Shared Big Update on Arch Manning
Have you heard the latest on Arch Manning? The highly-touted young quarterback, who happens to be the nephew of NFL legends Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, has been making waves since he enrolled with the Texas Longhorns in January, graduating early from high school. And it seems that Manning is already making a name for himself on the field.
According to Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian, Manning recently had his “best day” of practice yet. “Which should happen,” Sarkisian explained. “Hopefully we’ve learned from Week 1 with some of the things whether it’s the pace of play, whether it’s the system, whether it’s recognition of defense, whether it’s ball placement. Whatever that looks like. I thought today definitely was his best day.”
It’s worth noting that the Longhorns already have a star quarterback in the form of Quinn Ewers, who was the top-rated quarterback in the country coming out of high school. As a result, Manning may not earn the starting role as just a true freshman. However, Sarkisian has made it clear that he will allow Manning to compete, so there’s still a chance we’ll see the young quarterback in action this season.
It’s exciting to see such a highly-anticipated player like Arch Manning already impressing his coaches and making strides in his game. Who knows, he may just prove himself worthy of the starting role sooner than anyone expects. Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – all eyes will be on this rising star as the Longhorns gear up for the upcoming season.
