Taylor Fritz arrives in Tokyo with girlfriend Morgan Riddle for Japan Open title defense
Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, have arrived in Tokyo ahead of the Japan Open in 2023.
Fritz was just eliminated from the 2023 Shanghai Masters. Following a first-round bye, the seventh seed began his campaign with a tough 7-6(2), 6-7(6), 6-4 victory over Yosuke Watanuki.
However, the American was unable to advance further in the ATP Masters 1000 event when Diego Schwartzman defeated him in the third round 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(5).
The 25-year-old has since landed in Tokyo, where he will defend his title at the Japan Open. The ATP 500 race is set to begin on October 16.
Morgan Riddle, Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, has joined him in Asia to lend her support throughout the competition. She has also been recording their Tokyo escapades on social media.
Riddle posted photos from their journey and revealed that Tokyo was the couple’s “favourite” location. She looked stunning with a black blouse, a grey pleated skirt, and black knee-high boots. She completed her ensemble with a comparable black purse and matching sunglasses.
“Back in our favourite place,” she posted on her Instagram story.
The social media star proceeded to share highlights from her shopping excursion, proudly showing her Amore vintage store purchase of a bag.
While Riddle toured several stores and solicited feedback from her fans on current trends, she stated that Taylor Fritz had opted to take a seat and nibble while she shopped.
