Tar Heels HC Mack Brown Furious At NCAA Decision On Tez Walker Situation
Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown is furious over the NCAA decision on Tez Walker’s Waiver Situation.
On Friday, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas called out the NCAA and supported Tez Walker for his waiver application.
Bilas said, “I wouldn’t blame he [Tez] and his lawyers if they stepped into federal court tomorrow and filed suit against the NCAA, that’s how wrong this decision is.”
Now Tar Heels coach Mac Brown backed up their star player and college kid Walker. Brown part of the statement reads,
“We’re absolutely crushed to learn that Tez Walker’s eligibility has been denied for this season and he won’t be able to play. I don’t know that I’ve ever been more disappointed in a person, a group of people, or an institution than I am with the NCAA right now. It’s clear that the NCAA is about process and it couldn’t care less about the young people it’s supposed to be supporting. Plain and simple, the NCAA has failed Tez and his family and I’ve lost all faith in its ability to lead and govern our sport.”

Via College Gameday reports Walker is going to be an honor captain for the Tar Heels on Saturday against the Mountaineers of Appalachian State. The decision was made after the NCAA declined Walker’s request and restricted him to play in this season.

Pat McAfee jokes that someone from the NCAA will run on the field and say: “You can’t play football! That’s our job! To ruin kids’ dreams!”
The whole nation is criticizing the NCAA for ruining Tez Walker’s career. But looks like the NCAA unheeded over the Tez Walker situation.
Kickoff for the Tar Heels next game will be at 5:15 p.m. ET.
