Sydney Leroux Mocks Dutch Player Who Criticize USWNT After Netherlands Early World Cup Exit
Former USWNT Star Sydney Leroux mocked Dutch star player Lineth Beerensteyn who called the U.S. team “Big Mouth”, right after the Netherlands exited the World Cup.
Netherlands forward Lineth Beerensteyn at least learned one thing from this FIFA World Cup to wait before admonishing others. Right before the match between the Netherlands and Spain, the Dutch star Lineth called the USA ‘Big Mouths’ before their early exit in the 2023 World Cup.
But now Spain defeated the Netherlands with a 2-1 and sent Oranje back to their home. With all the Spanish fans out there, Sydney Leroux was one happy with Spain’s victory. Or rather we say happy to watch the Netherlands defeat.
33, Sydney mocked Beerensteyn for not waiting until she was on the podium to “talk s-t” about her team. She tweeted,
“One thing we’ve learned is wait to talk s-t until after you’re on the podium with a gold medal because now… you’re bye too.”
One thing we’ve learned is wait to talk shit until after you’re on the podium with a gold medal because now… you’re bye too.

he Oranje conceded a penalty to Spain in the 81st minute, which Mariona Caldentey put away. But the Netherlands were able to force extra time with an equalizer in the 91st by Stefanie van der Gragt.
But Spain’s Salma Paralluelo posted the goal 111th minute to fix their place in the World Cup semifinals. Now that the Netherlands is also out of the World Cup Sydney didn’t wait up and post her rant on Twitter.
Sydney Leroux was the star player of the USWNT from 2011 and 2017 posting 35 goals in 77 caps. She was a part of their 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning team as well as their 2015 FIFA World Cup win in Canada.
Currently, Sydney plays as a forward for Angel City FC in the National Women’s Soccer League.
