Super Bowl Champion Malik Jackson Announces Retirement

Super Bowl Champion Malik Champion announced his retirement at the age of 33.

Malik Jackson revealed his retirement news on Good Morning Football on the NFL Network Friday morning. The last time, Jackson played in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns was in 2021.

Jackson said, “That was the goal, 10-12 years was my goal. I was able to get to a point where I did pretty well for myself, and I think I just did enough. I have a daughter, and I need to go home and be with her and start living life.”

Jackson was first drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the  2012 NFL Draft where spend four seasons. Jackson brought the 50th Super Bowl cup in his final season with the team.

After the Denver Jackson moved to Jacksonville and then joined forces with the Jaguars from 2016-2018. Jackson’s NFL career, he spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He ended closed things with the Browns two years ago.

Jackson finishes his career with 292 total tackles, 35.5 sacks, 106 quarterback hits, six forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 142 regular season games.

Malik Jackson seemed content with his decision, the former champion wanted to spend his time with his daughter and family.
