Stephen Curry’s Reaction on Chris Paul Not Wanting To Come Off Bench

Everyone is aware of Stephen Curry’s and Chris Paul’s relationship and epic battles over the years and now suddenly if they start to play side by side and be in the same team is really going to be a little bit awkward. It all happened after the trade between the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards this offseason.
Paul, who is the greatest point guard all time had clarified that he wants to be the starter with Golden State.
Now considering the Golden State’s roster composition, they might want to bring Paul back from the bench to the game. But Paul’s wish to stay a starter is making it difficult.
When Curry was asked about Paul and whether his wish will come true or not? He gave this answer.
“The biggest thing is, it’s anybody outside our locker room asking that question,” Curry told Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle.
“It’s not the time for that and we don’t even know the answers. It’s going to be on all of us to figure it out.”
Instead, Curry tried to redirect the conversation to all the potential Paul’s addition has to improve the team.
“The idea of me and Klay being able to run around screens and give teams a different look is exciting, because I’ve done it before,” Curry said. “Everyone is talking about the second-unit thing, but when I’m off the floor, you have another ballhandler (in Paul) who knows how to play the game and elevates the guys around him.”
It’s understandable that Curry wants to brush this line of questioning, this matter needs to be settled down otherwise it will affect the team’s performance sooner or later.
Whether Paul, Curry, and Golden State be able to reach a resolution on this topic one way or another? We will soon get to know.
