Stephen A. Smith Shares His Biggest Career Mistake

ESPN’s Host Stephen A. Smith shared his biggest mistake in his career and wished he could take it all back.

Recently, Stephen appeared on Paul George’s podcast, where he revealed a comment he made against former NBA center Kwame Brown and regretted it.

In 2008, Smith referred to Brown as a “bonafide scrub” when the Lakers traded him to the Grizzlies for Pau Gasol. Smith told Paul George that,

“Kwame Brown, I wish I could do that over. I wouldn’t do it. I know what I said. I did mean it. I ain’t gonna sit here and tell you I ain’t mean the s— I said. But I didn’t know it was going to be like this. Remember, I said it before Twitter, Facebook. I didn’t know 15 years later they were going to have memes and videos.” 

In response to that comment, Brown also made some remarks about Smith which at that time he didn’t appreciate at all. That’s all in the past, Now Smith has accepted that he was wrong at that time and is ready to take all the blame.

Smith added, “As I see some of the stuff that he [Brown] says, I just be like, ‘Go ahead, bro. Say what you gotta say.'”

Smith is famous for his witty remarks and humorous comments on Sports World. Stephen A. Smith made millions of such remarks. It’s human nature to make mistakes but accepting that and trying to be better, shows Smith’s good character.
