Aston Villa sensation Alisha Lehmann has been offered a mixed doubles partnership by Petros Tsitsipas, the younger brother of Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas. Lehmann, who is currently representing Switzerland on international duty, took to Instagram to share pictures of herself on a tennis court with teammates, and Tsitsipas couldn’t resist proposing a partnership with the Villa star.
The Instagram post has generated over 350,000 likes and several comments, including Tsitsipas’ invitation to play mixed doubles. While Lehmann hasn’t responded to the offer, it’s an intriguing prospect to see the footballer showcase her skills on a bigger stage.
Lehmann’s Versatility:
Lehmann’s versatility and athleticism have been well-documented, with the 24-year-old proving herself as a formidable force in the Women’s Super League. The Swiss international’s social media followers have also been treated to glimpses of her impressive skills on the basketball court.
Petros Tsitsipas:
Petros Tsitsipas, a tennis player in his own right, is yet to make his Grand Slam debut but has already played doubles with his brother Stefanos. Although there is a considerable gap between the two in the ATP rankings, Petros is steadily making his way up the ladder and is currently ranked 1398th in the world.
Stefanos tsitsipas’s Achievements:
Stefanos, on the other hand, is a top-ranked tennis player who reached the Australian Open final last month, and currently stands at the third position in the world rankings. The Greek star has won the Tour Finals and has made it to the French Open final in 2021. With a rapidly growing fanbase, Stefanos Tsitsipas has emerged as one of the most exciting young players in the sport.
While it remains to be seen whether Lehmann will accept Tsitsipas’ offer, the proposal has generated plenty of interest among sports fans. It’s always fascinating to see athletes showcase their skills in different disciplines, and Lehmann’s social media followers will no doubt be keeping a close eye on her potential tennis career. As for Petros, he has plenty of time to make his mark in the world of tennis and could well follow in his brother’s footsteps to become a household name in the sport.
