Sophia Thomalla, the girlfriend of Alexander Zverev, calls David Beckham’s mother a “genius” for adding the former England manager to her “hit list”
Sophia Thomalla, the girlfriend of Alexander Zverev, has shown her respect for Sandra Beckham, the mother of David Beckham, after seeing her in her son’s documentary “Beckham.”
The four-part documentary series made its Netflix debut earlier this month and has received a lot of attention on social media. The film traces Beckham’s incredible development from a gifted young student in East London to one of the greatest football players of all time.
In the documentary, England’s 1998 FIFA World Cup campaign is highlighted. Beckham played in every World Cup qualifying match. Still, he was noticeably absent from England’s opening two games when manager Glenn Hoddle openly accused him of not being focused on the competition.
Following Beckham’s controversial red card incident during England’s Round of 16 match against Argentina, their feud intensified as Hoddle publicly blamed Beckham for the team’s defeat and subsequent World Cup elimination.
During the documentary, Sandra Beckham, the mother of David Beckham, recounted the event and said that she had placed Hoddle on her “hit list” due to the way he had treated her son.
Glenn Hoddle claimed that, before going to Tunisia, his head needed to be in the proper place. He’s now on my hit list of folks that irritate me. “No, what have you done?” was my initial thinking upon viewing Glenn Hoddle’s interview.
“He implied that David was at blame, and we were accustomed to Alex Ferguson, the manager, never talking about his squad. After that, they basically made him pay,” she remarked.
Sophia Thomalla, the girlfriend of Alexander Zverev, posted a screen grab of the moment on social media and called David Beckham’s mother a genius.
She said, “David Beckham’s mom is a genius,” on her Instagram story.
Jordan Thompson shocks Alexander Zverev in a 1R match at the Japan Open.
After losing to Jordan Thompson in the first round of the 2023 Shanghai Masters, Alexander Zverev was defeated in the first round of the Japan Open.
The Australian advanced to the ATP 500 event’s second round by defeating Zverev 6-3, 6-4. His triumph against a top-10 opponent this season was his second after he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas, the World No. 3 at Indian Wells.
After losing, World No. 9 Zverev stated he was speechless and that he had a “horrible” performance in the match. The German, albeit disappointed, gave Thompson credit where credit was due, complimenting his opponent’s serve in particular.
“I played awful today. He performed fairly well. He did a decent job serving, but I don’t think we are a good fit. According to Eurosport, Alexander Zverev remarked, “I don’t know what to say.”
Jordan Thompson will face the victor of Taro Daniel and Ben Shelton in the second round after defeating Alexander Zverev.
