SNL Comedian’s Joke About Chris Paul Got People Confused at ESPYS Along With Travis Kelce

Something unusual unfolded at the ESPYS event when Travis Kelce, the star player from the Kansas City Chiefs, teamed up with popular “Saturday Night Live” comedian Heidi Gardner to present an award on Wednesday evening.

As the pair took the stage, everyone eagerly awaited a lighthearted moment. However, things took an unexpected turn when Gardner attempted to inject humor by making a joke about Chris Paul. The problem was that no one in the audience seemed to understand what she was talking about.

Gardner said, “I got kicked out of Chris Paul’s birthday party because I wasn’t invited.” 

But her comment left everyone scratching their heads, including the newest point guard of the Golden State Warriors, who appeared completely confused.

Before the incident, Heidi Gardner popped out on the ESPYS 2023 Red Carpet donning a long shiny black halter-neck silhouette with a white clutch.

The ESPYS, which honors remarkable achievements in sports, is being aired on ABC this Wednesday night. Unfortunately, reports suggest that the event is facing difficulties due to an ongoing writer’s strike, adding to the challenges of this year’s show.
