Smith Jr Commented On LeBron’s Age: ‘you Feel Old, Don’t You?’
LeBron James had an epiphany when he learned that he was playing against the son of his former opponent. Jabari Smith Jr reminded James of his old age and that he played with his Dad who was in the Sacramento Kings.
On Monday night, James realized that he has completed his 20-year career in the NBA.
An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The overall third pick Smith Jr is being a star just like his father. The 19-year-old played against James and made a funny remark about his age.
James Laughed Off Listening To Smith Jr
James played against Smith Sr in 2003. He has played with two family generations in the NBA which shows his longevity in his 20 years career in the NBA. Smith Jr went to James on the court and said: “Hey, you played against my dad your first NBA game ever”
“You feel old, don’t you?”
To this James replied, “absolutely”, as he laughed.
“Made me feel old as crap”, he said.
“I’ve had the pleasure and the opportunity to play against a couple of dad and father combinations. … It’s been a great ride, man. In these 20 years. And I’ve been able to see a lot of great players come in and come out. It’s always an honor for me.”
Yes, he must be feeling old enough but he is still capable of playing like a pro. He is young by heart.
Apparently, he is the greatest and the best player of all time. He scored 48 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists, and won the game on Monday night. He was even compared to Michael Jordan by Kerr.
