Sixers’ Plan For A James Harden Trade: Daryl Morey
James Harden’s wish to leave the Philadelphia 76ers is finally going to be realized by the team. He will be traded to another team after so long and will mark the end of the road with the 76ers.
According to reports, Daryl Morey, the Sixers’ President of Basketball Ops will be announcing the team’s plan for the trade request on Tuesday during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly.
“If we don’t get either a very good player or something we can turn into a very good player, we are not going to do it,” he said, via Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
As of last week, Harden’s reported preference was to play for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2023-24.
“Harden’s stance has not changed,” said Sam Amick of The Athletic. “He still wants to leave Philadelphia. He’s still upset with how Morey handled his situation heading into possible free agency last month.”
In 2022 When Harden first joined the Sixers in the Ben Simmons trade with the Brooklyn Nets, he was an outstanding player and had no problems with the team. He played a total of 79 regular season games and averaged 21.0 points, 10.6 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per appearance. But now that he’s no longer comfortable staying with the team, it’s pointless to convince him to stay.
Let’s wait and see where he will end up in the near future.
