Serena Williams opens up after loss against Australian star Ajla Tomljanovic
Serena Williams opens up after her loss against the star Australian player Ajla Tomljanovic, and she said farewell to her memorable tennis career. Ajla won in a third round against Williams with a 7-5, 6-7, 6-1 the last year’s US Open.
From this loss, the American tennis star on her farewell was asked about the loss against Ajla, and how she felt about it which she stated
‘I was actually not very happy at all, just because of the result,’ she continued ‘I was there to keep going and to keep winning, and it was more or less like, I can’t believe I let that match go more than anything Obviously it was a great moment and a great memory and I don’t feel like I’ve left anything, but I just felt like what I could have done better that day.’
Serena Williams has no interest in returning to the court!
Serena reveals that she is now not interested in making a comeback on the court, she gave almost 20 years to tennis and in that year did really enjoy her journey.
Williams said: ‘I feel relief when I look at the court, I feel like I am so happy I don’t have to train for two hours today I’ve literally given my whole life to tennis. It’s time for me to give my life to something else.’
However, as you all know that Serena is now the mother of two children, Alexis Olympia and the little baby that she gave birth to recently.
‘The other day she’s like, “Everyone has a brother or a sister but me.” And I’m like, “Olympia, I’m working on it. Mommy worked a little too long in tennis, so it’s takin’ a little longer than expected,”‘
In the end, Serena wants to give time to her family and friends now, and she says goodbye to the tennis court. Its been one of the most successful careers amongst other tennis stars around the world.
