“SEC Terrible Weekend,” Paul Finebaum Gives His Thoughts on SEC Week 1
The SEC season has just begun and the first week has just finished. Talking about the performance of the SEC first week, Paul Finebaum, an American writer and sports analyst has just given an overview about how he thinks about the performances as Terrible.
On “College Football Commentator” he signed out with LSU South Carolina and Florida for their losses in week 1. As one of the SEC fans, he’s feeling really bad after watching what happened in the weekend.
“There’s no way to sugar coat it, it was a terrible weekend. You can look at the other wins and say, ‘SEC! SEC,’ but those were the 3 games that everybody was zeroed in on. Those were the single-digit spread games. … So how do you come out of the first weekend feeling very good, especially considering that 2 of those losses were to the ACC, especially 2 schools that many wonder could end up being in the SEC at some point.”
Turning his attention to Brian Kelly’s Tigers, Finebaum continued:

“They have to win out, unless some crazy circumstance occurs. I didn’t come out of it feeling great about the SEC, but then again, I think the [LSU loss to Florida State] was probably the fairest comparison, and it came out terrible. … They have the talent, Cole, as you know. South Carolina really underwhelmed me … And Florida, the danger for Billy Napier right now is suffering another bad loss in 2 weeks, and having people completely write him off. He is in the danger zone.”
The start of the season wasn’t really as everyone expected it to be. However, there’s still a chance for a few of these teams to improve their performance in the upcoming games.
