Saquon Barkley Sets the Record Straight on Giants’ Contract Rumors
Saquon Barkley, the star running back for the New York Giants, wants to clear up some rumors about his contract talks with the team.
Recently, there was a tweet claiming that Barkley was offered a contract worth $13 million per year, with a total of $26 million over the first two years. But Barkley says that’s not true at all.
He quotes the tweet with two “cap” emojis, which means it’s false. Barkley wants everyone to know that the details in the tweet are wrong and don’t reflect what’s really happening in the negotiations.

Some people on social media supported Barkley and agreed that the tweet was spreading false information. They believe Barkley is not being greedy and never expected to be offered $26 million guaranteed or $16 million per year.
