Saquon Barkley injury update
Saquon Barkley, the New York Giants’ running back, has already missed three games this season due to an ankle ailment. The 26-year-old running back is still dealing with the aftereffects of a high ankle sprain that kept him out of three games earlier this season.
Barkley was restricted in practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to an ankle injury that has plagued him all season. Given how important he is to the club, New York is unlikely to sit him, but he may wield less power than normal on Sunday.
The athlete has also stated his desire to be available for the Giants’ Week 11 game at FedEx Field against the Washington Commanders.

Barkley has 139 runs for 568 yards and one score this season, as well as 23 receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. This comes after an offseason marked by failed contract negotiations and a shaky start to the season. His 139 rushing attempts this season put him fifth among running backs.
What happened to Saquon Barkley?
Following the Giants’ Week 2 triumph against the Arizona Cardinals, Saquon Barkley revealed that he had sprained his high ankle. He missed three games as a result of the injury, but the ramifications are still affecting him.
Barkley seemed to have hurt his right ankle at the end of last week’s rout of the Dallas Cowboys, as he was spotted with his ankle wrapped.
Saquon Barkley is out here but wasn’t doing much during individuals. Tweaked that high right ankle sprain again at end of Cowboys game. Something to watch.

During the week, Barkley indicated in a press conference that his limited practice participation this week is due to his continued recovery from a high-ankle sprain that kept him out earlier in the season.
A high ankle sprain, which is commonly produced by putting the foot on the ground followed by a fast outward twist of the foot, normally heals in four to six weeks.
Good note from @PLeonardNYDN about Saquon Barkley, who hurt his ankle last week, in advance of WSH/NYG: "I dont think he's right, I think the Commanders are seeing as much of a banged up Barkley in this game since he missed those 3 games."

When can we expect Saquon Barkley to return?
The New York Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley was restricted throughout practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he is not listed as injured.
Even though the running back appears to be still recovering from the high-ankle sprain that kept him out earlier in the season, he is likely to participate in New York’s Week 11 game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
