Russell Westbrook got slandered after the Lakers traded him
Russell Westbrook has been a part of a three-team deal. The Los Angeles Lakers have experimented by sending him to Utah as a part of a three-team deal.
Westbrook played 130 games in total and fans were very positive about the player, but things did not turn the way fans expected. As he started 78 games they found themselves in the same place as they were before as they had already missed the playoffs last year.
Russell Westbrook was slandered out
Westbrook was not able to bring any significant change in his playing style. He remained the same. But now that he is gone, it is surprising to see how people came up and started slandering him.
Even Brian Windhorst said, “No offense to anybody, but just removing [Russell] Westbrook who just functionally was killing them. He was killing them!”
Later, on NBA trade deadline coverage Dave McMenamin said a source told him, “you remove a vampire from the locker room.” Was it a metaphor? Maybe not.”
McMenamin said, “That meaning that a vampire sucks the blood out of a locker room.”
No matter where Westbrook ends up, he will probably remain the same. But with the growing expectations, he will have to face more slanders in the near future.
