Roblox: Now you can Create a virtual World by Typing

Inside Roblox, Developers are trying to explore the possibilities of making a virtual world just by typing on their PC. just thinking about it is so exciting that if I can create a whole virtual world just by typing, how awesome would it be? Just about anyone would be able to build the experience and virtual object and create their own imaginary world.

When it comes to designing a virtual world, the most basic and huge problem is that we don’t have coding knowledge. And those who have the coding experience and are good enough to design a brand new world don’t have enough imagination of building something interesting out of nothing. But this project will let you build your own world just by a text description alone. You just need to clearly explain what you wanna create and AI could will build a custom virtual world based on the text.

Roblox: Implementation Process

According to the latest information, the company is testing two different implementations of generative AI. the first will be working on the plain text, analyzing it, and will be creating the virtual materials based on a natural language prompt. For example, you can take a look at the car textures in the video below. And the second will be focusing on generating the code based on the text description you will be providing.

“… Some creators know how to code, but may have limited experience creating high-fidelity 3D models. Others may be more experienced with model design, but less experienced with code,” Roblox CTO Daniel Sturman wrote in a blog post. “In both cases, we see a future in which even a beginner (such as myself for example – I’m a terrible artist!) can get a running head start as they look to bring their imagination to life in a Roblox experience.”

Roblox is working its way toward becoming the infrastructure for the metaverse for some time now and now it’s finally getting the results. Little by little the company is becoming a place where people won’t just go to hang out in the virtual world but also for the developers to build out the hit virtual spaces that make Roblox so sticky with young users. Just like other companies Roblox also has tough competition, but by using AI-based tooling like this, it’s becoming more and more attractive and hard to compete against.
