Rickie Fowler Back In Under Top 50 U.S. Open
The Orange is the new golf.
“The goal was to get inside the top 50, so now it’s nice to see all of the hard work pay off,” said one of the youngest golfers in the U.S. Open Rickie Fowler.
On Thursday Fowler and Schauffele, both posted 8-under 62 in the third major championship which sets another record in U.S. Open history.
Another two players who are right behind Fowler and Schauffele are, Wyndham Clark and Dustin Johnson both posted 6 on this Friday. Where Rory McIlroy and Brian Harman are at 5-under, and Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler lead a group of seven at 4-under.
Last week went well for 34 years old Rickie Fowler. After missing the past two U.S. Open Championships. Fowler is back at his home, in California, and in the game of Golf too.
Once upon a time, Fowler was the No. 1 ranked amateur golfer for the 36th week in 2007 and 2008. Who fell to the 185th position way back in 2022. He came so far from that long road to stand again under the Top 50 Golfers. Right now Rickie Fowler’s position is 45th after his last game in U.S. Open.
Fowler said “Back where we should be, It’s nice to finally be back into the top 50 in the world and to be back in this tournament. It’s a sign things are headed in the right direction.”
He said. “I obviously want to get back inside the winner’s circle, but this was the first step. Now, it’s all about continuing the improvement.”
Xander Schauffele Tweeted on his official handle “Do this again tomorrow”
The next game will be between Rickie Fowler and Jason Day. Jason hasn’t competed in US Open for the past two years. This is gonna be exciting to watch these two in the upcoming game.
