After Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving demanded a trade, there were questions about his preferred teams. It was clear that the Lakers were interested in having him on the team. However, Irving landed on Dallas Mavericks. 

It was a blockbuster trade, the Nets sent Irving to the Mavericks in a multi-player deal. There were ample teams looking for Kyrie to be on their roster. According to Bleacher Report and Chris Haynes, the Nets were offered a package by the Phoenix Suns for Irving that consisted of Chris Paul, a future Hall of Famer.

“Sources have told me that they proposed a package based around Chris Paul and Jae Crowder and some unspecified picks for Kyrie Irving.”

Chris Paul’s journey with the Suns

The 38-year-old, Paul is averaging 13.8 points, 1.4 steals, 8.6 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per contest in 34 games. It was his third season with the Suns and he was a major player who helped the franchise to score the best in the league. 

Last season was the best for the Suns, as they had the best record of 64-18 in the league as they got into the NBA Finals. 

Apparently, Phoenix Suns had the best time with Paul and it is surreal to see that they are willing to move him.
